Well, this is pretty wild… As I’m sitting here on Delta at 30,000 feet, sitting in front of Chaka Khan no less, I read that the London Symphony Orchestra along with Beatles producer George Martin’s son Giles have cut an Abbey Road style version of “I’ll Be There For You,” the Friends theme song that I co-wrote. Never did I think that on THE weekend of “the 21st night of September” that my “September” could be usurped in popularity but the Friends theme is knocking it out, with Sunday, the 22nd of September, being the 25th anniversary of the show. Some outrageous versions of the song have come out over the past couple of weeks but this one is the craziest! It was released last night and should be on all the streaming services now.
