A few years back I got to commandeer the WEINERMOBILE for a day, a dream come true by any Allee Willis Kitsch standard. I got to bring along two friends. One was the illustrious Charles Phoenix and the other was Cindy Brady, a.k.a. Susan Olsen, who, unbeknownst to us, had never been to the actual Brady house! As I got to take the Wienermobile wherever I wanted, the hot dog headed straight for that house. As we pulled up, there was a tour bus parked directly across the street and about 20 people were snapping shots. I got out of the Wienermobile first and simply told the tourists, “Take your Valium now!” and then out of the weiner stepped Cindy Brady! I thought they were going to die. Of course, no one died more than Susan who couldn’t believe she was actually standing in front of THE house. renovating the Brady house begins on HGTV tonight.
