In 1985 Peter Morton, owner of The Hard Rock Cafe, commissioned a motorized piece of art to hang in the restaurant in LA. “Stir it Up” had just been a hit by Patti LaBelle and as the title could be applied to food that seemed like the piece to do. It hung in the LA Hard Rock until it, along with my platinum record for Beverly Hills Cop which “Stir It Up” was on, mas moved to the Las Vegas Hard Rock where, as far as I know, they both hang to this day.
