Doing the chicken run with Jenji Kohan<\/a> at the Los Angeles Times<\/a> Fried Chicken Bowl a couple weekends ago. Google her if you don\u2019t know the brilliant TV shows she\u2019s created like Orange Is the New Black<\/a>, Weeds<\/a> and more. We discovered our obsession with great fried chicken the first time we met and have kept lists of restaurants we planned to take a day trip hitting. The Chicken Bowl was one-stop shopping, with 10 different takes on the fried fowl. Jenji and I were told we had to meet a few years ago by one of the stars of both of our creations, the beyond wonderful Danielle Brooks, Sofia in The Color Purple<\/a> and Taystee in OITNB.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
