I have always loved the sound of the beautiful instrument known as the bongo. Whether accompanying a beatnik blowing a piccolo or a poet who might otherwise bore me with their rambling tale of doomsday and cappuccinos in a Paris cafe, the ra ta tat tat of fingers on stretched skin vibrates at a tone that touches my soul. Congratulations to the bongo for being such a world class instrument!
