But forget about the game itself, I loved playing with the little plastic body parts. Here&#8217;s my very first art piece I made as a grownup artist in 1983:<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18763\" title=\"dialated-pupils-4X5-crop\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/dialated-pupils-4X5-crop.jpg\" alt=\"dialated-pupils-4X5-crop\" width=\"450\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/dialated-pupils-4X5-crop.jpg 450w, https:\/\/alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/dialated-pupils-4X5-crop-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>\n<p>It was a 5 1\/2&#8242; x&nbsp; 8&#8242; collage of made out of (primarily) pink house paint, 70&#8217;s Ebony magazine clips and 50&#8217;s TV knobs. But back to Cootie:<\/p>\n<p>This particular Cootie game was the victim of a flood just weeks after Mr. Brown was over when some of my underwear clogged the drain that the washing machine dumped into.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18687\" title=\"cootie_7651\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/cootie_7651.jpg\" alt=\"cootie_7651\" width=\"338\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/cootie_7651.jpg 338w, https:\/\/alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/cootie_7651-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 338px) 100vw, 338px\" \/>\n<p>The same flood ruined the my Beatles wig&#8230;<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18777\" title=\"beatles-wig\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/beatles-wig.jpg\" alt=\"beatles-wig\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/beatles-wig.jpg 450w, https:\/\/alleewillis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/beatles-wig-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>\n<p>&#8230; but that doesn&#8217;t have much to do with Cootie either.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t even really remember the rules of the game &#8211; I just liked twisting the little pink legs into the Cootie bodies.
