You go to a fundraiser, there’s a silent auction, and there it is, gotta have it…a good friend is already bidding on it, now it’s a nasty competition…the friend loses; we think, oh, we’ll give it to her for a gift someday. NFW, this is ours now.

What Allee has to say about this:
Thank you so much for submitting this after I suggested you do so after seeing it peaking out from under your “tri-tone bird S&Ps”. Although this is the kind of kitsch that makes me very nervous, it has more than lived up to my expectations! Nervous in that it fits the more classic definition of Kitsch as its been perceived through the ages – overwrought, lots of angels and flourishes going on – versus my definition which spills more out of pop culture and trends that inflamed the imagination of the public. But I must honor this for its Kitsch klassicism. The thought of a little girl laying on her back with her legs spread as a table base being acceptable is so way out there.
