Box is in French on one side, English on the other and demonstates how to suck up nasty cigarette butts someone’s ground into the beautiful green shag carpet.
What Allee has to say about this:
Okay, once we get into the household gadgets area of Kitsch I go completely nuts because I love this stuff so. The Ronco Miracle Broom, just like all things Ronco in those days, was the real deal, bringing convenience and innovation into the modern home at a price the home could afford. Not to mention that Ronco’s marketing was always great in the most excellent cheese platter kind of way.
One of my favorite things about these products, especially in the 1960s and 70s, were the incredible photographs on the boxes. The three butts and extra ashes ground into the high pile of that perfect vintage green shag carpeting coupled with that outrageously beautiful machine, one of the first of its kind, makes me weep. |
