I never collected this kind of Kitsch you but there’s no doubt it’s Kitsch with a capital K. Plaques or prints that have anything that look like rope on them that from a distance looks like a real rope immediately qualifies. Also the predominance of tomato red and celery green colors, the scary little outfits, the fact that kissing and praying is incorporated and, as if there wasn’t enough going on here already, the flowers and birds pasted all over the place. And, of course, it’s a matching set.
