This is one of my favorite items. It saves me from getting an aquarium. However, it is fading from years of working in front of the light and sunlight. I recommend this to all who contemplate an aquarium purchase.

What Allee has to say about this:
This is a really rare TV lamp. They were meant, of course, to sit on top of televisions in the 1950s so you can have the lights out in the room but the glow from the TV lamp would still soften the effect so it wouldn’t feel like missiles were shooting through your eyeballs. It was very rare for any of these to include lenticulars, the piece of plastic over the fish transparency that makes it appear as if the fish are swimming. The addition of the two fake plants and the fact that light gets thrown out of the top as well as through the fish slide makes this one very special.
